The Eastern Black Sea Region is one of Turkey's strategically important areas for the construction sector due to its challenging geography, climate conditions, and increasing need for construction. The sustainable, rapid, and safe progress of construction activities in this region largely depends on regional production of construction iron.

Rize is one of the provinces in the Eastern Black Sea region where the construction sector is active. Especially in recent years, growing infrastructure and urban transformation projects have increased the demand for basic materials such as construction iron and steel mesh.

It will now be possible to quickly dispatch construction steel and similar materials, which will be produced in the iron-steel facility being established in Rize, to construction sites in the region from local warehouses. This will reduce the uncertainties brought by long-distance transportation, making the material flow at construction sites more predictable.
